Nepal wins gold in men’s football:13th SAG

Nepal bags fourth gold medal in the men’s football under the 13th South Asian Games (SAG)  on Tuesday afternoon.

Nepal defeated Bhutan by 2-1 in the final football match played at the Tripureshwor-based Dashrath Stadium.

From Nepal, Abhisek Rijal had scored the first goal in the 16th minute of first half. Bhutan also scored in the game by scoring a goal from Chencho Gyaltsen in the 37th minute of the game to level the score during the end of first half.

Finally, Sunil Bal scored the second goal in the 54th minute of the game that makes victory for Nepal. Along with the win, this takes the tally of gold medals won by Nepal to 51. Today is the closing ceremony of the 13th SAG, which has begun from 1 December earlier.
