Four more people died from coronavirus on Thursday evening, taking the death toll from the pandemic to 130 in Nepal.
The deceased are one each from Chitwan, Parsa, Rupandehi and Bara districts.
According to a press note issued by Bharatpur Hospital, a 65-year-old man died from the COVID-19. Originally from of Ratnanagar municipality-13, Chitwan, he died in the course of treatment at Bharatpur Hospial on Thursday afternoon.
Similarly, a 74-year-old man of Birgunj Metropolitan City-15 died in the course of treatment at Birgunj Health Care COVID Hospital at 6:45 pm on Thursday.
According to Dr Dipak Kuswaha, the septuagenarian had been admitted to the hospital on Wednesday evening after his swab sample report came out positive during test at Narayani Hospital.
On August 18, he had been admitted to Narayani Hospital after his health condition deteriorated. He had been suffering from diabetes, thyroid, high blood pressure and tuberculosis.
Likewise, Bara district reported another death from the coronavirus on Thursday.
According to Dr. Uday Narayan Singh at Narayani Hospital, a 59-year-old man of Kalaiya Sub-Metropolis-10 succumbed to the coronavirus.
The man was rushed to the hospital in Birgunj on Wednesday night for treatment after complaints of breathlessness.
The doctors at the hospital pronounced him dead soon after his admission to the hospital.
His swab sample was collected after the death and the report has come positive for the pandemic virus.
Likewise, a 70-year-old man of Devdaha municipality-3, Sispur, Rupandehi district, who was undergoing treatment at Devdaha Medical College in Bhaluhi of Devdaha -9, died on Wednesday.
His swab sample tested at Lumbini Provincial Hospital in Butwal, had come out positive.
According to his relatives, the man had been suffering from high blood pressure, diabetes and paralysis since long.
Earlier, Nepal’s death toll from the coronavirus had reached 126 Thursday afternoon after six deaths reported in the last 24 hours.
Speaking at a regular press briefing this afternoon, Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Jageshwor Gautam had said that one woman from Kathmandu, one man from Makwanpur, one man from Saptari and one woman and two men from Parsa have died of the coronavirus.
Nepal confirmed 707 new cases in the last 24 hours that took the national tally to 29,645.
Meanwhile, 264 have recovered across the country in the last 24 hours.
As many as 17,964 people have been discharged from hospitals and isolation centers in the country so far, he shared.
