Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll reaches 663 with 18 new fatalities

Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has reached 663 as of Tuesday afternoon with 18 new fatalities in the past 24 hours.

Nepal had witnessed nine deaths from the pandemic on Monday.

Meanwhile, Nepal has recorded as many as 3,556 new cases of coronavirus infection in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, with the recent data, the total number of cases reached 115,358 in the country as of Tuesday afternoon.

Ministry’s Spokesperson Dr. Jageshwor said that altogether 15,577 sample tests were conducted across the country in the past 24 hours.

According to Dr. Gautam, 1,503 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 78,780 in the country.

Nepal’s recovery rate stands at 68.3 percent, he added.

Nepal currently has 35,915 active cases, he said.
