Two more new COVID-19 cases have been confirmed in Nepal as shared by the Ministry of Health and Population on Friday. With this, the number of COVID-19 cases in Nepal has reached 59.
Joint Spokesperson at the Ministry Dr. Samir Kumar Adhikari shared that a 25-year-old man in Rupandehi and a 60-year-old man in Banke have been confirmed to be infected with the coronavirus.
They are under the supervision of health workers and their health condition is normal, Dr. Adhikari said.
A total of 16 patients have been discharged following successful treatment.
Nepal has conducted 12,013 COVID-19 tests through Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) method and 46,860 through Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits so far.
A total of 23,336 have been quarantined across the country, and 80 kept in isolation (three in Kathmandu and 77 outside). So far, 312 have been kept in the red zone.
