Chief Minister for Province No. 3 Dormani Poudel has said the government offices were captured by brokers and mafia.
At a programme organized to announce fully immunized zone to Chagunarayan Municipality Sunday, Chief Minister Poudel said the vicious circle of mafia have made it difficult for common citizens to get service from the government offices.
“Corruption has plagued the government offices, deepening its roots in an institutionalized way. There is no condition at all to get works done without bribing. Corruption is rampant,” Chief Minister Poudel worried.
The mafias have seized the entire government offices, so no work can be done from any place we visit, Poudel added.
The Chief Minister also stressed the need for cutting corruption web. He sought commitment of all to free the country from corruption.
