Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Dr Mazhar Javed has said that his country attaches top priority to its relations with Nepal.
Giving away cash prizes, medals and letters of appreciation to the winners of Ambassador of Pakistan Essay Writing and Speech Competition in capital today, he said Nepal was Pakistan’s important partner. “Youths are future of Nepal and force of change,” he said adding Pakistan would continue assisting them in the field of education and health.
Chairman of Nepal–Pakistan Friendship and Cultural Association Himalaya Shumsher Rana underscored the value of creativity encouraging students to brush up their writing and enhance skills to be saleable in the international market with tough competition.
On the occasion, students who secured first, second and third position in the Essay Writing Competition on the topic “In Today’s World Neighbours are important but Neighbourhood is equally Important, South Asian Perspective” were presented with Gold, Silver and Bronze medals along with certificates and cash prizes of Rs. 40,000, 35,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively.
The next ten best students were also presented with case prizes of five thousand and certificate each.
Similarly the 1st, 2nd and 3rd position holders of Ambassador of Pakistan Speech Competition on the Topic “Are Humans too dependent on Information Technology” were presented with certificates and Gold, Silver and Bronze medals and cash prizes of Rs. 40,000, 35,000 and Rs. 30,000 respectively. Also ten other students were presented with cash prize of Nepali Rs five thousand and certificate each as consolation prize.
Over 1,500 Nepalese students from Higher Secondary Level to University level participated in the competitions.
