The Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Monday endorsed the name of former Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey as Nepali Ambassador to China.
A meeting of the committee endorsed the name of Pandey unanimously after no complaint was registered against him.
Now, President Bidya Devi Bhandari will appoint him as Nepali Ambassador.
A meeting of Council of Ministers held on March 1 had decided to recall Ambassador Leela Mani Paudyal and recommend Pandey to the post.
Pandey had assumed the post of Minister for Foreign Affairs under Sushil Koirala led government.
