Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has announced cash prize to 13th SAG winners inviting them to his official residence in Baluwatar on Wednesday.
The gold medalists will be awarded with a cash prize of Rs 900,000 , Rs 600,000 and Rs 3,00,000 to the winners of silver and bronze medals respectively as confirmed by PM’s press advisor, Surya Thapa.
The government has decided to honour the medalists of the recently held 13th South Asian Games (SAG) as a sign of encouragement.
Meanwhile, the players that have won two or more than two gold medals will receive case prize of Rs 1,100,000.
Nepal was marked by second position in the medal tally winning 206 medals including 51 gold, 60 silver, and 95 bronze medals.
