PM Oli to remain in hospital for another couple of days:TUTH

10 March 2020, Kathmandu

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli who underwent  kidney transplant on last Wednesday will remain some more days in the hospital- shared doctors.

PM Oli was expected to be discharged on Wednesday. However, the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) says even though there has been a noticeable improvement in PM’s health condition, he will not be discharged immediately.

According to Dr Divya Singh, PM Oli’s personal doctor, one of the main reasons is that PM’s residence would not be ‘medically fit’ considering the nature of the surgery, and the fear of infection.

In a press statement issued on Tuesday, TUTH said Prime Minister Oli has been made to stroll around and has been provided with normal food.

Meanwhile, the health condition of Samiksha Sangraula from Jhapa who donated one of her kidneys to Prime Minister Oli is also recuperating. She is likely to be discharged soon, doctors shared.
