PM Oli urges not to deliver the wrong message about Buddha



Kathmandu, April 30:

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged all not to disseminate wrong messages about Lord Buddha.

While addressing the Buddhist assembly organized by Buddha Jayanti Conference Committee and Ananda Kuti Monastery on the occasion of 2562nd Buddha Jayanti, the birth anniversary of Lord Buddha here in the capital today, PM Oli said that some foreign schools and universities were imparting wrong information about Buddha so it should be corrected. He added that the Buddhist teachings were still relevant therefore it should be followed for peace and humanity.

On another note, PM Oli shared that the government was working to rebuild cultural heritages including Dharahara, Ranipokhari and Kashthamandap meeting their ancient architecture.

Similarly, committee general secretary Sangharatna Shakya opined for including Buddhist education in school curriculum as well.
