Police have arrested 784 people for violating the nationwide lockdown enforced by the government to prevent and control COVID-19 pandemic.
They were arrested from different parts of the Kathmandu Valley on Sunday morning for disobeying the police’s request to stay at the house except for urgent works.
Among those arrested are 196 women coming out on the streets violating the lockdown.
The law enforcement agency has been holding lockdown violators on the roads for three hours before sending them back home.
Similarly, police shared that 204 vehicles were taken under control till 8 am on Sunday.
