Police have summoned Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Prachanda-Madhav faction leader Ram Kumari Jhankri.
Leader Jhakri was called to question over comment on President Bidya Devi Bhandari by the Metropolitan Crime Branch police team.
Earlier, the government had pressurized the police to arrest Jhakri. The government has accused Jhakri for insulting the dignity of the president.
The All Nepal Women’s Association of the Oli faction had handed over a memorandum to Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa last week demanding action against Jhankri.
Handing over the memorandum, the association had demanded to arrest and take action against Jhankri for spoiling the character of President Bidyadevi Bhandari.
