Preparations for the Fifth Women SAFF Football Championship have reached the final stage.
The championship is being organised by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF) and All Nepal Football Association (ANFA).
The tournament is taking place at the Martyrs Stadium in Biratnagar from March 12 to 22. Teams from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Maldives are participating in the championship.
ANFA vice-president and coordinator of Championship Preparation Committee, Pankaj Bikram Nembang, said that preparations for the tournament have reached the final stages.
Biratnagar Metropolitan City has allocated Rs 10 million and the Province -1 government Rs 5 million for the SAFF Women’s Football Championship, ANFA vice-president Kiran Rai said.
