President Bidya Devi Bhandari has summoned the reinstated session of the House of Representatives (HoR).
President Bhandari summoned the house session at 4 pm on March 7 as per the recommendation of the government.
“The Office of the President has already received the recommendation letter regarding the summoning of the house session from government and President Bhandari has summoned the house session at 4 pm on March 7 as per the recommendation of the government,” said Bheshraj Adhikari, the personal aide of the President.
The government recommended President Bidya Devi Bhandari to summon the house session of the reinstated HoR.
A cabinet meeting held at Baluwatar this morning took a decision to this effect, said Minister for Agriculture Padma Kumari Aryal.
Minister Aryal further said today’s meeting formally recommended the summoning of the house session even though the date for the parliament session was fixed for March 7.
The Supreme Court on February 23 reinstated the dissolved HoR, directing the government to summon the house session by March 8.
