Chinese officials have confirmed over 9,700 cases of Coronavirus recorded worldwide till date as shared by the global mass media. The number of people from a deadly new coronavirus is taking off day by day in mainland China. The virus, which was first discovered in the central Chinese city of Wuhan in Hubei late last year and has spread to Chinese cities including Beijing and Shanghai, as well as the United States, Thailand, South Korea, Japan, Australia, France and Canada. Due to the mysterious illness, foreign governments airlifted their citizens out of Wuhan, the outbreak’s epicenter. The government has recommended that people across China wear masks to halt the spread of a dangerous coronavirus. The outbreak has reached 20 places outside of China, including India and the Philippines. At least 213 people are dead and more than 9,692 cases have been confirmed in mainland China, as the virus spreads globally as shared by the official Chinese statistics. However, the real number is likely much higher.
Meanwhile, authorities in China have imposed indefinite travel restrictions on people across 11 cities in an unprecedented effort to contain the spread, as hospitals at the epicenter of the outbreak struggle to handle a surge in new patients. The number of individuals affected by the outbreak of Novel Corona Virus is reported higher than the SARS (Severe Respiratory Syndrome) in 2003 which was among Asia’s worst outbreaks.
Similarly, The World Health Organization (WHO) has declared that the new corona virus outbreak is a public health emergency of international concern. In order to fight the virus, national and international supports have been attempted taking into account the public health. As Nepal and China have been maintaining friendly and cordial relation since 1955, Nepal government has shown its concern over the demise by the dire infectious virus. In regard to this, Nepali Entrepreneur running Wang Xing pharmacy in Thamel of Kathmandu, Kaviraj holder in Ayurvedic Saraswati Rijal and her team is planning to provide assistance to send around 3 lakhs quantity of facemask to Novel Corona Virus affected to China.
As shared by Rijal to Pariwartankhabar , ‘As China had provided help during the emergency of the Nepal Earthquake 2015, now China is facing national crisis as the outbreak of the Corona Virus and we feel grateful to provide help to get rid of the worst epidemic. For the purpose, we are planning to send around 3 lakhs quantity of facemask to China. Till now, no medical cure has been identified to treat the Virus which has been spreaded as epidemic worldwide. And in this situation, mask will be the only way of prevention.’
Rijal further added that due to the high demand of the mask and only Chinese production will not take this properly, masks have been planned to send through Nepali Student Association. They will be distributed specially for the doctors and nurses involved in the treatment. She also urged other Nepali Entrepreneurs to provide as much as help they can in this crisis.
She further expressed her good words and praised the step that China has taken to prevent the outbreak of the Corona Virus as separate hospital under the leadership of Chinese president Xi Jinping already take off rapidly in Wuhan, China as part of its efforts to contain and treat patients suspected of contracting corona virus.
