Province-2 Assembly is currently under discussion to finalize the name and capital of Province -2.
Saroj Kumar Yadav, Speaker of the Province, says the name and capital names will be decided by secret ballot.
Provincial lawmakers, wanting to speak, would be given 5 minutes’ time before the polls begin.
According to him, the voting will begin as soon as the discussions were over.
The assembly had earlier decided to retain Janakpurdham as the permanent capital of Province 2.
Meanwhile, four parties from the Province-2 have proposed three different names.
While the ruling Samajwadi Party and RJPN have proposed the name of the province to be ‘Madhesh Province’, the Nepal Communist Party has proposed ‘Janaki’. Likewise, the Nepali Congress (NC) has proposed the name ‘Mithila-Bhojpura’.
