The 34th meeting of the third session of State Assembly of State-1 called for today has been postponed due to special reason. A notice issued by State Assembly secretariat’s secretary Gopal Prasad Parajuli states that the meeting shall convene at 1 pm on May 5.
State Assembly speaker Pradip Kumar Bhandari had in a meeting of the assembly on April 28 directed the assembly members to present within May 2 a proposal regarding determining the permanent capital and the name of the State.
Nepali Congress parliamentary party leader Rajib Koirala said today’s meeting was postponed as no agreement could be forged regarding the name and the permanent capital of the state.
