The Gandaki State government has announced public holiday on Maghe Sakranti, the first day of Nepali month of Magh that falls on January 15 this year.
As shared by the Minister for Physical Infrastructure and Spokesperson of government, Ram Sharan Basnet, the meeting of the Council of Ministers called on January 9 made the decision to this effect.
In a press meet on Friday, Minister Basnet said that the meeting also decided on a number of matters one among them was approval in principle for the formulation of the bill relating to the operation of homestay in the State.
Decision was made to approve the bill relating to the Gandaki State Academy to present it to the State Assembly through Ministry of Internal Affairs.
