To observe Bhoto Jatra, the government has announced a public holiday on June 9 i.e. this Sunday in the Kathmandu Valley.
A decorated vest considered to be of the Rato Machhindranath, the Hindu deity who is worshipped as deity of good harvest and rainfall, will be displayed on Sunday in Lalitpur.
The Ministry of Home Affairs has declared the public holiday only inside the Kathmandu Valley on the day.
