Khotang, March 12
A regular bus service has begun from Diktel to Kharmi of Khotang district after eight years of the construction of road.
The Khotang Transportation Entrepreneurs Association launched the regular bus service in the rural roadway from Sunday.
The Kharmi people elated after seeing the vehicles in their locality welcomed the drivers and buses offering garlands and vermilion powder. The bus service in the 15-km route was inaugurated by Chief of District Coordination Committee, Babi Chamling.
For the repair of this road, Diktel Rupakota Majhuwagadhi municipality had allocated Rs 4 million. With the roadway in operation, people from Kharmi, Patheka, Baspani, Baksila, Sapteshwor, Dipsung and the vicinity have been benefitted.
