3 days Child Friendly Local Governance (CFLG) workshop has been accomplished with the commitment to apply CFLG in Tinpatan and Phikkal Rural Municipalities.
This workshop was organized by SIDS, Nepal with collaboration of CDPS, Sindhuli with the financial support of World Vision International Nepal and coordination of N-CFLG and Rural Municipalities. 55 Participants (Chairperson, Vice-Chairperson, Executive Officer, Ward Chairperson, Executive members and thematic representatives) from both RMs has participated on this workshop which held at Chetana Village Resort Khaniyakharka Sindhuli.
CFLG workshop was completed as per prescribed scheduled on 20-22 August 2019. Deepak Kumar Ghimire (Chairperson of SIDS, Nepal, Sindhuli) chaired on this program and Sankar Barama Tiwari (Chief of District Coordination Committee Sindhuli) participated as a chief guest for very program. During opening session Ramdhan Majhi (Chairperson of CDPS, Sindhuli) welcomed to all participants with the sharing the core objectives of present workshop.
Three CFLG facilitators namely (Binod Prasad Dhakal – CFLG Expert, Tillotam Poudel- President of NCFLG and Haribol Acharya) regarding concept of child right, theory, CFLG in federal structure, manifesto, commitment, CFLG strategy, indicators, planning and role of stakeholders to make CFLG in community.
This workshop was hosted by Narayan Pandey (Project Coordinator of SIDS, Nepal). In opening session Mabin Ghale (Public Engagement Specialist WVIN) commitment to providing support respective RMs for apply and declare CFLG form the WVIN on his speech. At the mean time both RM chairperson and vice chairperson were excited to apply CFLG respective RM and they committed to apply CFLG in their community with signature. Similarly Deepak Kumar Ghimire also makes commitment to provide support pride work (CFLG declaration) of both RM from the sake of SIDS, Nepal, Sindhuli.
During this workshop they learned various matter related to CFLG and also they made intensive discussion regarding the works which they done for promoting CFLG in community. DCC chief also commitment for support on this work from DCC.
