SAG to help further strengthen regional ties-says PM Oli

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has said that he is experiencing good improvement in his health condition.  PM Oli in a video message on Twitter from the Intensive Care Unit of Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Centre today said that he is able to talk,walk and watch news’.

He recalled the appendicitis operation that he has recently undergone saying, “As you all know, since appendicitis occurs all of a sudden, it happened to me as well.” He went on to say that he had to undergo major surgery as his appendicitis burst and spread to other parts.

“The treatment was lengthy as the infection spread to other parts,” he said in his message, adding, “It would have been easier for the doctors had it not burst and the infection not spread to other parts.”

The Prime Minister also shared that he watched the inaugural ceremony of the 13th South Asian Games live on his I-pad. Expressing happiness over the SAG finally taking place after a lot of uncertainties, Prime Minister Oli thanked the President for inaugurating the mega regional sports event and to all those who participated in it.

He also urged all Nepali and SAARC athletes to utilize the platform of SAG in enhancing the pride of their respective country and promoting regional fraternity. PM Oli has also appealed to the players of SAG to promote regional cooperation through games.
