Agency, Jan 5, 2018 : CAF officially announced their African Footballer of the Year for 2017 on Thursday evening.
Liverpool and Egypt star Mohamed Salah has been named as the winner of the award for 2017 following an impeccable year.
The 25-year-old was in sensational touch for Roma before his switch to Liverpool at the beginning of this season, and has improved even further.
Salah scored 23 goals in 29 appearances for the Reds in 2017, while prior to his transfer, he hit the back of the net 10 times in 20 games for Roma that year.
The winger was also in remarkable touch for his country, scoring five goals in 10 matches to help his nation qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia.
Salah beat his teammate Sadio Mane and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who finished second and third respectively to the award.
