The Supreme Court (SC) has issued an interim order to the government to rescue Nepalis stranded abroad due to coronavirus.
A single bench of Justice Sapana Pradhan Malla on Thursday ordered the government to evacuate Nepalis who have been rendered jobless and having a hard time meeting daily needs in foreign countries.
Responding to a writ filed by three Advocates including Som Prasad Luitel, the apex court maintained that the government can not turn a deaf ear to the plea of Nepalis abroad.
The SC has further ordered the government to find out the condition of Nepalis living abroad through diplomatic channels.
