Along with the slogan of ‘Run for health, Run for nation’, second cross country national level running competition is going to be held on Magh 25 in kolma Baraha Chaur of Putalibazar Municipality-9, Syanja- a press meet on Thursday in Pokhara shared under the chairmanship of president Jit Bahadur Gurung. The running competition is organized by Saat saya Kolma Bahakot Sampark Manch established along with the vision to promote chaarthum and saat saya kolma bahakot of Syanja.
The running competition will be conducted into two categories as 31 km running male free and 14 km running under male 21. The competition will commence from kolma baraha chaur and kahule, dandaswara, Namche, kalkhu, bisaauna, biruwa, khudi, madkina and will be accomplished coming to kolma baraha chaur again.
The winner team under the first category will be rewarded with cash prize 50000, second 40000 and third winning team 30000 respectively. Similarly, under male 21 category, winner team will receive cash prize 20000, second 15000 and third with 10000 respectively along with certificate and medals. The competitors who will secure tenth position also be honored with certificate and medals- said the organizer.
The national level running competition is going to be organized in order to support the economic development of the remote areas through sports and tourism. With this, the program is focused to promote and protect local culture organizing home stay shaaj program to celebrate Visit Nepal Year 2020.
The program is going to be held assisted by NRNA UK and the foreign residents of chaarthum. The organizer has also appealed local government, institutions, aama-samuha, youth clubs, volunteers, security parties and other locals to make grand success.
