The death toll from coronavirus has reached six in the United States of America after four more people died in Washington state on Monday.
King County announced an emergency declaration as the number of COVID-19 cases there rose to 14, including five deaths. The sixth death was a person from Snohomish County, just north of Seattle, CNN reported.
Five more people had tested positive for the novel coronavirus, as of Sunday.
Four of the new cases, including the second death, were among residents of a long-term nursing facility where officials have been investigating a possible outbreak of coronavirus.
The second death was a man in his 70s who died Saturday, Seattle & King County Public Health said in a release.
The five new cases were presumptive, meaning they have been tested positive by a public health lab and are pending confirmation by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
