The Swab samples of suspected 2,410 people have been collected in a bid to prevent and control the spread of coronavirus in Province-2 as of Saturday.
Among them, the report of 1,910 has shown negative while the report of 500 is still awaited.
According to Social Development Ministry Secretary Dr. Ram Prasad Ghimire, among 12 who tested positive for COVID-19, four have returned home from the hospital after recovery while eight are still undergoing treatment at the Narayani hospital in Birgunj.
The rapid diagnostic test(RDT) has not been held in the Province in the past 24 hours. Earlier, 5,223 tests were carried out in eight districts of the Province.
As of Saturday, 1,307 are quarantined, 4,532 are in self-quarantine while 23 are in isolation in the Province.
