The Embassy of Switzerland in Kathmandu has clarified in relation to an article titles “Minister Baskota bargains for 700 million bribe with audio” published in My Republica dated 20 February, 2020.
Issuing a statement on Thursday, the Embassy said, “The Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal wishes to make clear that no meeting has been requested by the Embassy, nor is any meeting foreseen with the Minister for Information and Communication in the near future on the topic mentioned in the article.”
The embassy said it is neither aware nor involved in any dealings of the person quoted in the article as a local agent of a Swiss company.
