Technical Training Centre to build in Budhanilkantha Municipality in coordination with Qatar Charity



The foundation stone for the Technical Training Centre which is going to establish in Budhanilkantha Municipality in coordination with the Qatar Charity has been set on Sunday. Minister for Women, Children and Senior Citizen Parbat Gurung, Counsellor of Qatar Embassy to Nepal Khalifa Ahmed, Chief of Budhanilkantha Municipality Uddav Prasad Kharel and local ward chair Balkrishna Shrestha have jointly attended the Shilanyas Ceremony of the training centre.

A letter of agreement has been signed betweeen Qatar Charity and Nepal Government Society Welfare Council three months before.

Amir Faisal. a civil engineer of Qatar Charity said that the technical training centre has begun to formally commence its work after being inaugurated. The construction task will be observed by non-government entity called Heal Nepal.

The training centre which is going to be establish in Budhanilkantha municipality ward number 3 will be financially and technically supported by Qatar Charity. As per the agreement made between the Society Welfare Council and Qatar Charity, Heal Nepal will accomplish the construction of the training centre with in the coming 5 months. The training centre will be handed over to Government of Nepal after being necessary inspection.

The construction cost of the training centre is around 1 crore 12 lakhs.  Qatar Charity has shared that the centre will be completed with in 6 months which will be of international standard.

Qatar Charity had been providing support to form public buiding for single women and homeless people in Sunsari, Sarlahi, Rautahat, Rupandehi, Kapilvastu and Banke district. Charity’s work is the first in Kathmandu which also shared that other programs will be added accordingly.

Minister Gurung also thanked to Qatar Charity for its support to Nepal. It is the first project in the municipality subsided by the Charity. Municipality Chief Uddav Prasad Kharel said that friendly relation has been established between the Qatar Government and Budhanilkantha Municipality.

Similarly, Counsellor of Qatar Embassy to Nepal Khalifa Ahmed stressed on the contribution of Nepali laborers in the formation of Qatar expressing commitment to provide necessary assistance to Nepal on behalf of Qatar Government.

The technical training centre will occupy 419 square meter while Ministry of Women, Children and Senior Citizen has provided the land for its construction.

In the program, president of Non-government Organization General Association Pradeep Dangol thanked to Heal Nepal for its initiation to bring the project to Budhanilkantha Municipality in coordination with Qatar Government.
