The ruling Nepal Communist Party(NCP) has concluded the list of candidates for the upcoming National Assembly Elections which is scheduled for January 23.
A Secretariat meeting of the party held today at the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar finalised the matter, according to party spokesperson Naryankaji Shrestha. Senior leader Shreshta also comprises in the list prepared by a meeting of the party’s secretariat.
The other candidates are listed as Indu Gautam (Province 1), Tulasa Dahal (Province 2), Ganga Belbasese (Province 3, women’s quota), Gopi Achhami (dalit quota) Devendra Dahal (‘other’ quota’), , Radeshyam Paswan (dalit quota), and Bhagwati Neupane (Gandaki Province, women’s quota).
Similarly, the candidates for Province 5 include Bimala Ghimire (women’s quota), Jag Prasad Sharma (differently-abled quota) and Gopal Bhattarai (‘other’ quota). The party has picked Maya Prasad Sharma and Sumitra BC (women’s quota) from Karnali Province and Taraman Swar and Sharada Bhatta from Far Western Province.
The EC has published a schedule for the registration of nominations for the election on coming January 5.
