At least eight houses in Nagpuje of Ghumthang and 10 houses in Bhirkharka in ward no. 7 of Barhabise municipality have been buried in a landslide that occurred on Saturday night.
Dead bodies of three people have been retrieved and 25 have gone missing, according to District Administration Office, Sindhupalchowk.
According to Chief District Officer Umesh Kumar Dhakal, three bodies have been found in a landslide in Nagpuje. Fourteen people have gone missing there.
Similarly, 11 persons have gone missing in Bhirkharka while two others are undergoing treatment at Barhabise Primary Health Center.
Personnel of Nepal Police, Armed Police Force, Nepal Army and locals are continuing the rescue operation at the site, said Dhakal. The details of the incident are awaited.
