Total coronavirus cases in Nepal have reached 12 on Sunday, the Ministry of Health and Population stated.
Three Indian nationals in Birgunj have been confirmed to be infected with COVID-19, the Ministry of Health has confirmed.
They were living in a mosque located in Birgunj Metropolis-2 and have been put in isolation at Narayani Hospital.
Their swab samples were tested at the Hetauda-based lab and reconfirmed at the Kathmandu-based National Public Health Laboratory after a preliminary report in the Hetauda-based Vector Borne Disease Research and Training Center.
The NPHL also confirmed that the test report positive of the three persons aged 37, 44 and 55 respectively.
The three had attended the Tablighi Jamaat congregation from March 1-15 in the Indian capital of New Delhi.
While one of the infected is from New Delhi, the two others are from the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh.
It has been revealed that several people from various countries, including Nepal and India who had attended the conference were tested positive for coronavirus.
