Three Nepali nationals have lost their lives in the course of eight days in Portugal.
Toran Bahadur Thapa (47) of Pokhara was found dead in his apartment. According to Thapa’s family sources, he died due to cardiac arrest. Thapa, who was living with his family in Portugal, had been suffering from diabetes and hypertension.
According to Yamendra Gharti Magar, Secretary of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA)-Portugal, Thapa’s last rites would be carried out in Portugal.
Similarly, 41-year-old Nabin Kumar Pathak of Nuwakot died on December 8. Further information on this case has not been made available.
Another 29-year-old man from Pokhara was found dead in his room last Tuesday. The body of the deceased has been kept at Fernandez Hospital.
The post mortem report showed that he died due to blocked windpipe while vomiting after consuming excessive alcohol, member of Prabashi Nepali Ekata Manch, Narayan Sharma quoted a doctor as saying.
Meanwhile, NRNA stated that the process has begun to repatriate the body to Nepal.
