Tilottama Municipality submits local laws to federal government



Butwal, March 11

The Tilottama Municipality Saturday presented the local laws to the federal government.

The laws, a collection of 12 local acts, rules, directives and working procedure endorsed by the Municipal Assembly, was submitted to Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

Earlier, the Municipality which lies in Province-5, published the laws in the Municipality’s gazette before submitting it to the province government.

As per the Local Government  Operation Act-2017,  the laws, rules, directives, and working procedures to be formulated by  a rural municipality or a municipality as per the Article 102 needs to be presented before the Province and federal governments.

A team comprising Municipality Mayor Basu Dev Ghimire, chief administrative officer and municipal executive council member Surendra Shree among others reached the Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar to call on Prime Minister Oli.
