The Turkish Airlines will be the official airlines of Nepal Visit Year 2020 secretariat. To this regard an agreement was reached between Visit Year secretariat and the Turkish Airlines in Kathmandu on Friday. The agreement was specially formed in order to effectively promote tourism of Nepal in the international market. Secretariat Coordinator Suraj Vaidya and Country Manager of Turkish Airlines in Nepal, Abdullha Tuncer Kececi signed the agreement.
According to the agreement, Turkish Airlines would be used for cargo from European countries, and the US. Similarly, Visit Nepal Year secretariat and Turkish Airlines would make joint publicity of the Visit Year 2020 at travels and tour fairs to be organized in the US and Europe.
Like wise, Turkish Airlines will provide air fare free of cost for certain journalists visiting Nepal to report on the Visit Year. The Turkish Airlines through air flights has been connecting Nepal to the European countries contributing to Nepal’s tourism. On the occasion, Secretariat Coordinator Vaidya expressed belief that it would be easy for the airlines to provide service to Nepal as Tribhuvan International Airport up-gradation was over as well as the construction of new international airport was nearing completion.
