Two persons were killed and at least 18 others injured when a passenger bus skidded off the road and fell at Thanimai of Ghiring rural municipality-3 in Tanahu district on Friday.
The deceased have been identified as local residents Muna Thapa, 20, and Nani Maya Gurung, 42.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Lila Raj Lamichhane, Thapa died on the spot, while Gurung at a hospital in Pokhara. Lamichhane also added that the injured ones were sent to Manipal Teaching Hospital in Pokhara.
The ill-fated bus (Ga 1 Kha 6175) was headed to Pokhara from Rapur of Palpa district.
