Two new COVID-19 cases has been confirmed in Nepal on Monday. With this, the number of coronavirus positive cases in Nepal has reached 14.
A 65-year-old woman of Lamki Chuha Municipality-1, Bhuruwa Kailali and a 19-year-old youth in Rautahat have tested positive, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
Speaking at a press briefing, Spokesperson Bikash Devkota said that the woman of 65 now undergoing treatment at Seti Zonal Hospital was found coronavirus positive in her swab test.
Earlier, the rapid diagnostic test had shown her report negative, but when the swab was sent to Kathmandu for a test, it was found positive.
The woman had a small business in Birgunj. She, along with 16 others, had returned home on March 22.
According to sources though she was hesitant to stay in quarantine in the beginning, after a request from all was living in quarantine.
The medics from Tikapur Hospital had collected swab of 44 people out of 51 in quarantine.
