The CPN-UML Dispute Resolution Task Force is holding a decisive meeting today to resolve the protracted intraparty dispute.

A crucial meeting between CPN-UML Chairman KP Oli and senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal held at the Marriott Hotel in Naxal, Kathmandu on Wednesday evening ended inconclusively.

However, sources said that even though the meeting could not yield a concrete outcome, the talks were “cordial and positive”.

A leader who participated in the meeting said that no progress could be made in resolving the UML dispute as Chairman Oli did not agree on power-sharing.

The talks became inconclusive after Chairman Oli did not agree on power-sharing, the leader said.

Likewise, UML leaders Bishnu Poudel, Ishwor Pokhrel, Subash Nemwang, Bhim Rawal and Surendra Pandey also attended the meeting.
