UML, Maoist Centre to discuss ideological issues



Kathmandu, Feb 9, 2018

The party unification coordination committee of the CPN (UML) and CPN (Maoist Centre) is scheduled to be held on Friday so as to expedite the unification process.

On Friday, UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Maoist Centre Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ also held discussions on the result of the election of National Assembly and Province Assembly, and different aspects of the party unification, Prachanda’s chief personal secretary Jokh Bahadur Mahara said.

Mahara said that the two leaders discussed the way to accelerate the formation of new government by concluding the party unification process at a time when the process for the formation of the government has moved ahead after the elections to the National Assembly.

In the meeting of the coordination committee, discussions would be held on the progress made so far in the unification process and future plan of action as well as the ideological and political issues in order to maintain uniformity. Likewise, a committee is expected to form to settle the organizational issue.
