Nuwakot, Feb 9
The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) is to reconstruct the 2015-earthquake devastated health facilities in Nuwakot district.
The UNDP came up with the move to reconstruct health facilities when the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) which initially took the responsibility for this remained silent.
Nuwakot District Public Health Officer Rammamni Ghimire shared that UNDP is set to carry out the reconstruction of health facilities when the KOICA that took up the responsibility for the reconstruction of 10 health facilities did not begin the works in the stipulated time.
The Health Ministry handed over the responsibility of reconstruction of health facilities at Belkot, Sisdole (Okharpauwa), Ratmate, Duipipal, Likhu, Panchakanya, Thaprek, Ghyangphedi, Charghare and Suryamati to the UNDP after the KOICA though had pledged did not begin the process.
