Kathmandu, April 20
World peace prayer is to be organized on April 23-25 at local Bouddha for collecting fund for the construction of a 132-feet-tall Buddhist stupa (temple).
The stupa which would be the tallest one in the country would be constructed at Chandranigahapur of Rautahat district, the Buddhist monk and preacher Karma Gumchen Lama shared at a news conference organised by Nagi Gumba (monastery) here on Thursday.
He said it is regrettable that incidents of violence and killings are taking place in Nepal, the birthplace of the Buddha. Lama said that the world peace prayer will be organized on the occasion of the 2562nd Buddha Jayanti wishing for peace in countries where various types of violence and mass killings are taking place.
