Minister for Education, Science and Technology, Giriraj Mani Pokhrel said that Yoga education is being incorporated in the community school curricula and the textbook is in course of printing.
He was speaking at the Nepal-India Yoga Promotion organised by Yoga University of America here on Thursday.
Nepal has been celebrating yoga day in order to promote it, since the past four years, on Magh 1.
Nepal Academy chancellor Ganga Prasad Upreti said preparations were underway to give an academic shape to Yoga. Nepal should be developed as a major centre for the practice and promotion of Yoga, a spiritual and ascetic discipline. On the occasion, Indian Yoga Guru Arun Mallidev spoke of the need of promoting the culture of Yoga.
