A 19-year-old youth was found dead in the Mahakali Irrigation Canal at Sisaiya at Bedkot in Kanchanpur district on Thursday morning . The deceased has been identified as Santosh Panta of Krishnapur Municipality-2 in Kanchanpur district.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) at the District Police Office, Kanchanpur, Narendra Chand, the youth was found drowned when he was spotted.
DSP Chand also said that “As per the primary information, the youth have fallen off his motorcycle and drowned in the canal.” Further investigation of this incident is underway, he said.
